Happy 1 Year!

It's been one year since I launched this blog, and I would have to admit that it's been a mess in terms of trying to get things uploaded and prepped to share with the world.

Though I have an assertive personality, I am not one to assert my views and opinions on others – which is primarily the reason why I held back from sharing this blog with the world. 

Approaching the 1 year mark of this site has got me reflecting on my life over the last year, and wow, it was all kind of an adventurous jumble. I originally made this site with the intentions of creating a design portfolio, but truth be told: maintaining a blog has been one of my top goals  ever since I started college (to relive/revive the tumblr blogging days in high school!).

I recently wrote about my perfectionist tendencies and coming to terms with those qualities of mine has helped me understand why I can be hesitant to "start" or get things rolling off the bat. These traits played a significant role in the inception of this blog, and I can only admit that those little tidbits are what make this site a reflection of me as a person.

If any words of wisdom/adage can be relayed after this one year of working on my life/portfolio: just freaking do it. Your imperfect mistakes now are a step toward the "perfection" you're aiming for.
