Product Design Studio

INFO 290-002 / UC Berkeley, School of Information / Fall 2018

Product Design Studio is a hands-on, software product design class based on current industry practice. With an emphasis on iteration, practice, and critique from experienced industry designers, INFO-290 takes a series of design projects (both solo and in groups) through a full design process, including but not limited to managing feedback from multiple stakeholders, building relevant design solutions, and more.

Some of the key takeaways from this class are:

  • build high-fidelity, working prototypes within constraints

  • designing in different contexts (e.g. nonprofits, startups, larger companies).

Toolbox: Sketch App / Figma / Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator / Anima / InVision
